The McLaren Senna™ GTR had one simple objective – to deliver the quickest McLaren lap times outside of Formula 1™. Unlike its sister, the McLaren Senna™, it was liberated from road and motorsports regulations. The result: raw, track-focused power. Just 75 were built and, like those of its road-legal predecessor, every single one sold within days of the car's debut.
Ruthlessly sculpted for the track, the McLaren Senna™ GTR's numbers speak for themselves. Its power-to-weight ratio is 645 PS (636 bhp) per tonne – the highest of any track-focused McLaren. And it generates a staggering 1,000 kg (2,206 lbs) of downforce. For high-speed stability, grip and driver confidence, the McLaren Senna™ GTR raised the game.
The McLaren Senna™ GTR rewrote the rules of automotive engineering. Its highly advanced aerodynamics made it revolutionary, incorporating a host of ground-breaking technologies first developed in Formula 1™.
The GTR active rear wing with air brake and Drag Reduction System (DRS) is a prime example. Working in harmony with the front aero blades, it pivots automatically – reducing drag at high speeds and increasing downforce under braking.
