There is no mistaking a McLaren Elva, nor forgetting the thrill of driving one. Unimpaired by roof or windscreen, this ultralight supercar is as eye-catching as it is fast. Its name pays homage to the McLaren-Elva sports racers from the 1960s. These were lightweight, open-top cars developed by Bruce McLaren and built in collaboration with the British company Elva Cars.
The Elva is a true engineering marvel thanks to McLaren's proprietary Active Air Management System. A world-first, its exterior surface is designed to guide high-speed air over the cabin. This creates a turbulence-free zone for total comfort and control.

At the time of it's unveiling, the Elva was the lightest of McLaren's creations, with a dry weight starting at 1,148 kg (2,531 lbs). The Full Carbon Fibre Body is made from just three main panels, creating a clean, sculpted profile — light and elegant.
Powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, with Proactive Chassis Control II, the McLaren Elva's handling is effortless. Meanwhile, the roadster's quad exhaust system creates a rich soundtrack that thunders into the open interior. A car as powerful as it is beautiful.
