POWER AND PRACTICALITY

McLAREN 540C

OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

Designed to act as the perfect introduction to the world of McLaren, the McLaren 540C blends supercar prowess with everyday practicality. Sister model to the 570S, it is fitted with a mid-mounted 3.8-litre twin turbocharged V8 engine, capable of reaching speeds of 200 kph (124 mph) in just 10.5 seconds.

With a chassis honed to create an unrivalled balance and McLaren's Brake Steer System to aid cornering, the 540C is as at home on the road as it is on the racetrack.

CORE STRENGTH

CORE STRENGTH

The McLaren 540C shares a carbon fibre construction with its Formula 1™ and hypercar cousins.

At its core is the MonoCell II - a strong, rigid chassis that weighs less than 80 kg (176 lbs) and provides exceptional crash protection and outstanding dynamics. This lightweight construction coupled with the powerful mid-mounted engine provides the best power-to-weight ratio of any sports car in its class.
